The Fiftytwo Retail Readout 2027 survey is now open. We’re asking Nordic retail professionals how their businesses approach AI, where they see potential and what holds them back. The survey takes 5 to 6 minutes, and participants will receive access to the full report when it’s released.
AI offers plenty of possibilities to explore. Choosing which ones deserve time, attention and investment is harder.
Could a tool save store teams time or help customers find the right products? What would it take to make it useful in daily operations? And should you start experimenting now or wait until there is more evidence to guide the decision?
These questions are behind this year’s focus on AI in Fiftytwo Retail Readout 2027. The report will bring new AI survey findings together with broader Nordic retail insights on business priorities and technology choices.
Moving early gives a business time to test ideas and build experience. It also means accepting uncertainty about the outcome. Waiting may bring more established solutions and clearer evidence, while delaying the opportunity to learn firsthand.
“Retailers have a business to run while they explore what AI could do for them. Moving early can create valuable learning, but every opportunity competes for time and resources. We’re interested in what gives retailers the confidence to take the next step, and what makes them decide to wait.”
Søren Brammer Riis, Chief Commercial Officer, Fiftytwo
For retailers, that decision has to fit around the demands of running stores, supporting employees and serving customers. Testing a tool takes time. Making it part of everyday work takes more: people need to understand it, trust its output and know when to question it.
That makes the case for AI about more than what a tool can do. It is also about whether the benefit justifies the effort of putting it to work.
The survey explores how retailers use AI today, where they see opportunities and what challenges they face. It covers potential applications in store operations, employee support, product discovery and customer experience.
We want to hear from businesses at different stages: those already using AI, those exploring a few possibilities and those that have yet to get started.
“If we only hear from businesses with a success story, we miss an important part of the picture. We also want to hear from retailers who are still exploring AI or have chosen to wait. Their questions and reservations matter just as much.”
Søren Brammer Riis, Chief Commercial Officer, Fiftytwo
You don’t need a finished AI strategy or a success story to participate. Your priorities, reservations and unanswered questions belong in the picture, too.
Share how your business approaches AI and help shape Fiftytwo Retail Readout 2027. As a participant, you’ll receive access to the full report when it’s released.
