Contractor or consumer? How to win both in modern DIY
DIY retailers are expected to serve two very different customer types in the same store. Contractors want speed, predictability, and efficiency. Private consumers need advice, reassurance, and time with knowledgeable staff.
This webinar looks at how these parallel customer journeys shape store operations, employee roles, and technology choices. The focus is on the real trade-offs retailers face when speed and service must coexist, without adding friction for customers or complexity for staff.
What we will talk about
At this webinar, Flügger shares how it experiences and manages the different needs of professional and private customers in daily store operations.
The discussion centers on how contractors and consumers behave differently in-store, what they expect from shop staff, and how those expectations influence workflows, staffing, and technology use. A key part of the conversation is how store employees and technology work together, where systems support employees, and where human expertise remains essential.
